Re: IHOP

More attacks and mocking of churches. I was in KC on business a few years ago and visited a non Sunday evening service. Great turnout which most cold churches would never have other than Sunday morning. It was fairly full of people there to worship and get a message.
IHOP must make people depressed that can't imagine getting 3-4 hundred people out to worship and IHOP can. on a weekday evening.

Re: IHOP

They aired Holy Laughter on TV?

I'm sorry if everything else about them is wonderful but if I ever seen Holy Laughter at a church I would not be back.

What a freak show. I've seen a lot of people on AFF compliment IHOP. Sorry, I'm not getting it. Looks like another Hagin, Hinn, Copeland, freak show to me.
Actually, my impression of the church here changed for the negative after the Pastor spoke positively of Hinn and that Lakeland guy.

It's like people are willing to embrace anything in the name of Jesus.

I long for the days of my childhood-- normal church folks, non-legalistic, that prayed and worshiped the Lord fervently.

I had such an awesome church upbringing.

Too bad everything changes, including me.

Re: IHOP

I've actually seen people laugh under the annoiting.
It was nothing like the popular video out on the web, however.

Same here. I've witnessed it at least two times. It's joyous. Not out of order and "weird" like what you normally see in charismatic vids.

some of what you are longing for may be a trick of our memory about "the good old days" but I am sure there are many churches that fit the description of "normal church folks, non-legalistic, that prayed and worshiped the Lord fervently."
