I guess I don't understand what you are referring to here.

And I'm not sure what a liberal agenda or some other has to do with this whole ME issue, because it runs rampant all the way across the spectrum -- from extreme left to extreme right.
The ME problem does NOT exist only in liberal environments, however you define that. It's a label that is very subjective as we all know.

Yes, it does run rampant across the spectrum. On that we do agree.
I do find however that it is more dominant in the liberal side in that the desire is to please self as opposed to please God. That is not so readily evident of true on the conservative side with regards to apostolic believers.
The liberal biased believers are generally more prone to becoming involved in worldly venues of entertainment. The conservatives generally do not.
Also, with the liberal mindset of some, it would not be even remotely possible to live godly, regardless of the window dressing that is placed out front.
I will be the first to admit that conservatives also hide behind the dressing so to speak. Perhaps what I am most concerned about is seeing the old landmarks destroyed to make way for new and improved (as some would seem to think) than maintaining the things that have made pentecost as a movement great.
Obviously, I am totally for holiness that is not only inward, but is manifested not only in dress but in lifestyle as well.
I will not stick up my nose to those who are liberal biased, even though I disagree wholeheartedly with the stance that is currently being taken on what to me are tremendously important issues.
It is my desire to see us all come together in unity.

So has the canned, "I did it my way" sermon on Elvis now been replaced with the Windows ME sermon? Nice re-warm of an oldie but goodie...
What's funny is I have been a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer since around 1997 and I never even caught the reference of "Millenium Edition" to the word, "me" until this thread... I guess I'm so caught up in my own me-ness that I missed this play on words by Microsoft.

Honestly, that may not have been their intention. It is just a coincidence that it is titled such and made for a good sermon on the issue that is confronting us headlong today.

But the ME preeminence issue goes beyond worldly entertainment and dress standards. I wasn't thinking of those so much.
I was talking more about self-focus and self-pity. I was talking more about "I've got to be ME" kind of focus and mentality that will take people right out of the church. I know it happens because I've seen it happen.
I believe it's part of the spirit of this age. When people get all wound up in ME and self focus ...... SELF WILL ..... and that becomes more important than the other really important things like prayer, Bible reading, church attendance, serving others and living a life that is crucified and hidden in Christ then it's easy to end up in a state of deception that can become an ever increasing downward spiral.
We need the old landmarks but again I'm not thinking so much about the outward in regards to outward adornment issues. That part is easy. I'm thinking of the landmarks of consecration, prayer, sacrifice, standing strong in the face of opposition, commitment, selflessness, making God, His will and purpose #1. Landmarks of separation and holiness should never be moved although some of the specifics will change.
Anyhow sir ....... I greatly appreciated your post.

I see what you are driving at and I think we may agree.
Also, don't you feel that the desire to move away from standards of modesty and towards worldly entertainment could be an extension of the self-focus? It seems to me that the two go hand in hand.
Regarding the landmarks: we are indeed on the same page for if we are to have true apostolic renewal/revival, then the church is going to have to go back to the basics of how to get there, which does include prayer, fasting, consecration et al.
Thanks for your comments. They have been illuminating and helped to draw light to other important issues as well.
