I wish I had some good recipes--I rarely make snack foods. Probably something I should work on....
I do make good pico and guacamole. That's about it.
My husband makes ABT's, if you have a smoker/grill, they're really easy:
You stuff seeded jalapenos with a mixture of cream cheese/shredded cheddar/chopped green onions, wrap them in bacon, secure with toothpicks and grill them until the bacon is crisp. Actually, he smokes them, I think he does it for about an hour?
Anyway, the smoky flavor it adds to the bacon and cheese is GREAT.
The original recipe from my husband's forum is this one:
12 fresh Jalapeños
8 oz block cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 C finely grated sharp cheddar
1 Tbsp dry onion
1 tsp granulated garlic
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp barbecue rub
1 lb bacon, thin cut
Wearing gloves, cut jalapeños in half, remove stem, seeds, and white ribs. Mix cream cheese, grated cheddar, dry spices, rub, and honey. Fill jalapeño halves with cheese mixture, then wrap each in a slice (or half slice, if using smaller jalapeños) of bacon.
Light 1/2 chimney of Kingsford and assemble smoker with empty water pan. Add 1-2 chunks of fruit wood (apple or cherry) and adjust vents to achieve 300*F at grate. Smoke at 300F for 30 minutes, or until bacon is golden brown. Serve and eat!
I simplified the filling, but you might like trying this recipe.
Jeff said that he puts them on the "hot side" of the smoker (when its set to 250-275) and smokes them for around 3 hours (or until the bacon is crisp).

Re: Easy Super Bowl Snack Recipes
I don't even know what these things are called, but they are another snacking favorite for my kids...
Break graham crackers in halves and spread them on a cookie pan.
Melt 1 stick of margarine, and 1/2 cup of sugar together until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Sprinkle chopped pecans across the graham crackers, and drizzle the butter/sugar mixture over them.
Bake the graham crackers in oven at 375 degrees for approximately 6-8 minutes. Do not let them burn.
Let cool completely and store them in an airtight container.

My DIL can do this, and almost all would love this recipe, thanks.

Jeff said if you grill them, they need to be over indirect heat, on about 250-275, not directly over the flames. The smoker is best, (mainly for the great flavor) and you don't want them getting done too quickly. (the bacon will be done, but the jalapenos won't be)

They are sinfully good..you could cross the line into gluttony real easy with a bowl of those things in your hands. I only make those for Christmas because they are so tempting to nibble on all the time.
They are very easy to make.

Tell Jeff thanks, I will pass this along to my son and DIL. My DIL will do the prep, and my son or my husband will do the grilling.

It will be on my list for sure. So easy and sounds yummy. Now if I can just talk H1 into making some pecan brittle. And give me the recipe.
