Colin Powell is an American hero! George Bush needed CP back in the day to moderate his right wing administration and try to make ammends for a stolen election. Al Gore won in Florida and the supreme court gave bush the election by stopping the recount ordered by the florida supreme court. Haven't you seen the movie "Recount"?

You can't have it both ways - - is McCain a maverick who bucked the party line or is he the same as GWB?

Re: Colin Powell is no Republican
Here's something I find funny. I firmly believe that if Powell would have pandered like McCain and would have become the Republican Candidate....most partisian conservatives bashing him would be marching right behind him cheering what "conservative" elements he brings to the election in comparison to Obama.
It's hilarious. lol

I've seen "Bruce Almighty", but that doesn't make Jim Carey God.

Powell represents that pretty clearly in my mind anyway.

Thanks.

You see life in snap shots...I see it in streaming video. McCain was very much a maverick who bucked the party line. But since 2000 McCain has become one of Bush's pandering lap dogs, and right now the same special interests that support Bush are teaching McCain how to fetch and roll over. People change. McCain realized in 2000 that he couldn't be himself and win the Republican nomination because Conservative Republicans have never been thrilled with him. For the past 8 years McCain has re-imaged himself for political expediency. It's sad really. He looks so desperate to be President.
