I do feel that it is easier to complain about a bad experience than it is to accentuate a good experience. Thus when one whipping boy gets whacked all the good neighbors take a turn.
Are there horrible people in all organizations? Yes.
Are there great people in all organizations? Yes.
Are there injustices perpetrated in the name of Christ? All the time.
Those who are successful are those who pick themselves up, who don't allow their relationship with God to be formed and changed by their circumstances, and who choose to LET God heal them.
Hey, people love to be miserable and love to have company in their misery. Depression sets in when we allow our enemy to play a part in our misery. Wounds invite infection and when they aren't properly cared for are a doorway to death. So it is with the soul.
I feel a good defense against misery and depression first, is faith and trust in my Saviour. Second is to fight negativism, to say something good when complaints are the norm, and make light of the power of sadness. A form of my defensive humor is satire, irony and desert dryness. Bummer for sum, but werks for me and some others.
