Re: What kind of entertainment is good for the sou

I like music. I listen to almost exclusively Gospel/Christian music.

I don't own a tv, but I will go to the movies and watch a decent flick. If I owned a tv, I am sure I could lfind something other than the news to watch that would not be too grieving.

I like driving my car, going to the gym, beach, parks and surfing the net.

I write music.

AFF is good entertainment at times.

I don't believe in golfing-- it's the sport of satan!

I figure that entertainment that makes you laugh so hard you think your going to die, but then doesn't give you a hang over the next morning, is all good!

There are a number of comedians and entertainers that are targeting the family-friendly demographics on the strip in Las Vegas. Their shows are SOLD OUT continually and have some of the funniest content I have ever seen or heard! They do far more then the more adult orientated junk that gets shown at night where the F bomb is dropped 2 to 3 times per sentence.
It shows you that even in sin city the public is hungry for CLEAN, but well done, comedy!

We have Sirius radio, and there is a channel called "laugh Break", it is considered family friendly, and most of the time it is. My kids LOVE that channel, and it's amazing how funny some of there guys are.

We also listen to the Radio Classics channel in the car, nothing like a little Fibber McGee and Molly, Dragnet, or The Shadow to make your day.
We do have a TV, but for the most part it is on ESPN, so not much else is watched. I love to read, and we play a lot of board games.

Re: What kind of entertainment is good for the sou

I enjoy my children, AFF, Mr Bean, Monk, Omega espresso and grilling slabs of Ribeyes (In Jesus Name).

As far as what is "allowable" or what I "believe in" ... pretty much anything that does not compromise my integrity and Christian witness.

FYI ... I pretty much am not interested in any sports on the Pro level. Dislike golf, "gaming" and the lotto. I like Disney and Silver Dollar City - but mostly because it makes the kids happy. I could enjoy a fine cigar or a glass of wine, but generally refrain in the interest of family/church unity.
