(hum-part of rock of ages)
And I dream of tomorrow and wonder what will he be
What will he be
But Lord help me to remember
He was yours before he was ours
Let me teach him faith an charity
About love and how to be kind
Fill his little heart full of good things
Keep him in your tender care
And thank you Lord for listening
To a young mother’s prayer
Yes thank you Lord for listening
To a young mothers prayer.

Also, there is a country song that talks about "In My Daughters Eyes"
Ahhh, yes that's it...I didn't see this when I just posted a few lines...

We often sing....

We dedicate this temple to you Lord
We dedicate this temple to you Lord.
Use it (or: them; him; her) for your service
For a holy purpose
We dedicate this temple to you Lord.

Don't know who wrote it or where it came from - but it brings tears to my eyes every time it is used at a baby dedication. Although our children are grown, DH and I re-dedicate them at every "baby dedication".

This was written by Geron Davis I believe he wrote it for Gerica's dedication....

Everyone thinks of the baby when they do a dedication, but the real dedication was with the parents. The extra step of dedication that is required is required of them.
