Well, I have a framed diploma hanging on the wall in my office. It says that I have a Th.D. degree and it is issued by AFF Virtual Seminary. So, I can call my self Doctor James Ellis and I can designate myself as James Ellis Th.D. if I want. Now some would say it is not a "real" degree but I have a piece of paper that looks official and it says I have a doctorate in theology.

Well, OP's have to use something to justify their unique doctrine of "the plan of salvation" and "the godhead" so they grab at stuff like this. They then pass this off to the average church member or preacher who will not investigate and we are told that there is an "unbroken line of One God Acts 2:38 people and practice from the first century until now."
