btw, the upci did not come down from heaven like the New Jerusalem City. It came from Jefferson City.

Some men who say they love the UPC say it just like the man who says he loves the wife that he beats the whole time he is "expressing" said love.

Some men who say they love the Brethren, whether in the ogr. or not, say it just like the man who says he loves the wife that he beats the whole time he is "expressing" said love.
Fits BOTH ways.

Seriously gentlemen .... it is apparent that this retirement benefits package argument is being set up ... along with other carefully crafted one's to justify a long awaited split ....
If this is what the UC's are hanging on to .... along with the holiness argument then I say the fellowship is better off without those MISGUIDED PERSONS .....
Why don't we get to the crux of the matter and stop dilly dallying ????
This about money, power, ideology and influence .... not about injustice or some spiritual higher ground.

Perhaps. But my dear OP, you have never heard me speak as disparagingly of any of "The Brethren" regardless of their affiliation or lack thereof.
Seems to me those outside the UPC are much more judgmental of the UPC than those inside are critical of those who are outside. JMHO.

The AMF has been attacked on this forum and others used as a brunt of jokes I have either defended what I felt was incorrect or been silent with enbarassment because the charge was so. It is not a sacred cow. It is my fellowship not my life. But I promise I would withstand every official in a group or privately over an injustice done to a missionary or another preacher.
I do not belong to a lynching committee for preachers however I do think organizational decisions and actions are not too sacred to discuus. EVERY group has some kinks in the armour but just because everyone says the emporer has clothes on does not mean he does. The kid was right not politically correct but correct in fact.

OP my Dad was a moderate .... not a conservative .... unless you think having cable television and lax standards is conservative ....
