Of course that is another argument... but in keeping with this one that you insist on pursuing what I have said is my belief.
Now, this could branch out into pastoral authority and all of the other stuff you don't believe in but in this discussion, I believe that the Spirit is my guide and my personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the determining factor for me.
i posted in the CM Becton thread exactly how I feel about all of this. Go read it and find out what this meaneth.
i never would have guessed you were a self righteous judge, Dan!

His Spirit and Word should be the guide...
and let us not forget that the Word is the revealed plan of God ...
It is as authoritative as His Spirit indwelling in us ...
What if a woman says the HG has told me it's okay ... is that a lack of the indwelling, PJ????
Would that measure up to a prescribed notion that some Spirit-filled folks use to measure the fruit of the Spirit?
I know some Spirit-filled/saturated women in slacks.

I have simply asked for the same scriptural proof that you have demanded of others.
I will say it again... if it is not in the Bible either way... right or wrong... then you have no more ability to say it is NOT sin than I have to say it IS.
Is fairness not a part of your makeup or are you just intentionally obfuscating so you don't have to confess that you can no more say it is not a sin than I can say it is?

That is not for me to judge Dan... I have my own relationship that I am working on. I have not been placed in ministry to police others actions.
I attend a church and I will, as long as I attend that church, abide by the guidelines established by the pastoral authority of that church. I think it is Biblical to do so. Don't you?
I am reaching for souls and that does not include a dress code.
I think you just have a hard time accepting that there are folks who are not rabid one way or the other... True moderates focused on the Kingdom and not the pettiness you get caught up in. I just believe that everyone has the right to their opinions and that I can no more deny a conservative the right to teach what they interpret from scripture than I can deny you the same right. You are legalistic in that it is your way or the highway... just as legalistic as the conservatives you love to excoriate.

God is never to busy. Holiness in all manner of conversation is important.

BTW, Dan, are you in agreement with the Church of Christ and do you believe that you can determine when the Bible Speaks and when it is silent and what it is saying both times?

Well let's excoriate waffling moderates tonite, for a change.
What is said and what is reality is often different ....
The "I'm not the judge" argument was best displayed by NA Urshan in the Ankerberg Show ... it usually means I won't tell you what I really think.
As for your last 2 assertions that I somehow don't believe in pastoral authority is bogus .... I don't believe in pastoral manipulation.

Neither do I believe in pastoral manipulation.. nor does my pastor or the majority of pastors I fellowship with.
Trust me, Dan, I think you know me well enough to know that I will tell you exactly what I think and not mince words.
Now that we are finished arguing... do we have to hug and rub noses like my dad always made me and my other brother do when we finally quit fussing?
