and I didnt like the dress - I wouldnt like the dress in that setting, at that time of the day on ANYONE. It had nothing to do with who was wearing it.
why do people get their dander up and take things so seriously? dear lord

Because they think you are prejudice.
I wouldn't have liked it on Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, myself - - for the same reasons you didn't.

*sigh* RG, it's because from the outside looking in, there does appear to be a clear tendency for this forum to go after her in ways that I have not seen Republican women gone after. In fact when the mainstream public has gone after Republican women for their clothing choices for a variety of reasons, the overwhelming tendency here has been to defend them. It seems that there are threads like this started after every one of her major appearances. I have read the word "classless" many times on most of them. At the same time, she is making lists elsewhere as one of the leaders in fashion. Either way, with all of the people involved in her clothing choices, I just don't see how she can appear so classless at the end of the day. I've never seen here dressed immodestly. I've never seen her dressed innapropriately for her age. She seems comfortable in her skin and does not appear to be trying to be something she is not.
Either way, everybody is entitled to their opinions and I guess it is theoretically possible that everyone posting about how bad MO looks who have never said the same about the others, have legitimately never seen anyone else look bad.
And yes, I know that not everybody has had the same opinion, but the pattern is clear, overwhelming, predictable, and I guess to be expected.

I understand and I can only vouch for myself.
It has nothing to do with MO - - it was the dress. Did you read that I loved the ball gown - - does that count for anything?

I was trying to be clear that I was not talking about every post by everybody on these threads. But in its totality, some of these threads do come across the way I stated. JMHO

reading more into our observation of the *dress* is ludicrious.
your obvservations about the *going after* of her unlike any republican woman is asinine.
your assessement of the tendancy of this *forum* is the same thing you are saying we are doing over a dress....

In YOUR opinion...
and for someone to come on the thread and say that ALL the posts are somehow more than they are is unecessary and ludicrious.
I personally do not care to be lumped into groups I do not belong in..and frankly unless someone clearly stated they didnt like the dress b/c of who was wearing based on her political affiliation, race, creed or color - saying otherwise is just as biased as what is being accused.
