Michele Obama's dress

Walt and I were just both commenting on Mrs. Obama's choice of dress for today's festivities. Walt says it looks "frumpy"! That's a man's observation, folks. I hate the color. And that sweater thing makes it looks like it's an old-fashioned house dress with her sweater on.

What do the rest of you think? Did you like it?

I thought it looked like a house dress with a sweater on. I didn't particularly not like it, but I didn't think it did justice to the situation.

I actually thought it was nice. I don't usually like Michelle's fashions. I did not like the sweater. It made the dress look to casual for the occasion, however the jacket does dress it up.

Re: Michele Obama's dress

She wants to set a precedence and look different - - she's doing a great job of that.

It was the wrong color for 27 degree weather and the sparkly stuff should have been left for the parties tonight. It wouldn't have hurt for her to chosen something more classic.

Re: Michele Obama's dress

I did not like the color, but I thought she might have chosen it to be different. Most first ladies have gone with red or blue. I think she is trying to set her own style- I liked the idea if the coat and dress, the sweater was to transition to the indoors. I hated Mrs Biden's outfit- too short, and the dress was way too casual for the occasion.

Re: Michele Obama's dress

I thought it was too much for the daytime events, and the weather - maybe later in the day or dinner hour. But she is doing her own thing, thats for sure.

Just what was that at her neck? Was that a necklace or something with the dress? It didnt fit, IMO - but the pictures I've seen werent that clear or dead on
