See, this is part of your problem: you look for hidden meanings in what people post instead of just reading what is posted. I don't imply - ever! Respond to what I actually post instead of what you think is being implied, insinuated, etc.
Quote:
I was talking with someone the other day that was standing in line at the bank and a guy behind him was complaining and saying, "You know what I don't like is "GD" this and that/"
The guy turned around and said, loudly, "You know what I don't like? I don't like it when men take the Lord's name in vain."
He didn't use fists, but his words were the same. The man apologized for it and all the women in the bank were proud of him for standing up for what was right.

There's a difference between standing up for what is right (and there is no "right" outside of God's word) and violating Jesus' command to turn the other cheek. You and others here are trying to justify things that are considered acceptable in American culture instead of conforming your thinking to the word of God.

Did He LOSE His temper? Did He even have a temper (the sin of wrath)?

How do you balance that with Romans 12:18?
"If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."
I say, sometimes, it is not always possible. You are going to have times when you have to straighten out some business, preferably, with words only.

I got to go now, should have a while back. I get on Rom 12:18 another time, lord willing. I'm sure it has nothing to do with figthing someone, plus what lies within us? Christ, right? and he mumbled not a word when he was beaten to a pulp.

Chancellor,
I'm sure He wasn't smiling when he knocked over some tables.

No one seems to want that kind of discussion. I hope if ever in a situation I do what God wants and if fail, to repent and not justify it as just being a man.

Is was prophesied for this to happen. Paul didn't stand and take it. He wasn't destined for it.
He preached to Agrippa
He escaped in a basket
He appealed to Rome
He didn't just take it.
