I don't have to defend the word, it does that itself.

Anything that is a command is salvational. That is, if you believe disobedience is sin and and all. Hopefully you haven't changed your mind on that as well?
Further, the question as to when the blood is applied is not the issue here. The real issue IS obedience to the Apostolic commands given by Peter, witnessed (and not objected to) by the other Apostles, and confirmed by Holy Ghost outpouring.

Doing something still does equate to what it signifies. If I hug you Easty ... does it mean I love you? Or that it caused me to love you>?

The real issue is the presentation - as to what our obedience signifies ... PP...
No one has ever argued the proper response to the Gospel ... we are examining what each step means.
Some feel tcertain aspects of their obedience causes the New Birth ... while others believe it is a result of the NB.

My question for the last 26 years is the idea that God puts an outward sign (tongues or baptism) and an invoking of the Name on the responsibility of the observer and baptizer for the ultimate mark of salvation. In recent years, it has been brought under question, the scholarly qualifications that all of these 19th century pioneers lacked.
My goodness, did anyone see the news last night where an entire Louisiana Penitentiary has been converted, interviews of former murderers, the Warden, etc. I’ll go on record as believing that God is moving in mighty ways and bringing salvation outside of oneness, Acts 2:38 circles. I ain’t going to hell for saying so either.

If you hug me, I'll know that you love me. If you say you love me then I can only go by what you say. (from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks) You're a good guy Dan, even if we don't always see eye to eye.
