Sorry Dan, but your rhetoric is getting annoying.

This is a fallacious argument. Just as mine was.

Use your Greek to find out what 'born again' means in John 1?
I will when I'm done with it. But I think without the Greek, our English translations do a fine job of explaining the new birth.

Homework #3
In John3... Why does the born of the water statement ..mentioned once ... while being born of the Spirit ... seems to take precedence .... after he makes born of water and Spirit statement
How does it take precedence? In describing a "sound" that will follow Spirit birth?

And what specifically does Jesus say will bring eternal life?
ALL scripture has to fit together! Faith/belief in the Son of God brings eternal life, but without the new birth one can't enter into the kingdom of God (which is eternal life). These verses don't contradict, they harmonize if you will only let them.

Homework #4

When Jesus healed the sick ... what did he say 'SAVED' them?
Does "saved" in these instance mean eternal salvation?

If your faith is in anything except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

You will walk the runway that has seen 10's of thousands walk.

With everyone watching.

In watching how these dear souls match up to the local tribal belief and local church customs of handpicked petty patterns of spiritual malfeasance "look up this word".

They then watch as these dear souls change and the runway glance is then turned into a walk to the gallows.

The one John the Baptist said, One cometh after me who will baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire.

One washes away sins of the past.

That is fine if you were to drown in the river of Baptism.

The other Baptism gives you the power to over come and keeps you near the cross until the day of glory.

One is the birth the other is the life....

You heard it from me.............

John 3

5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You[c] must be born again.' 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

It sure looks like when one examines the entire thought being expressed here ... that the pneuma/Spirit is what he is speaking about

... or being born from above ... or what we translate as born again .. is by the Spirit of the Almighty

A promise that Nicodemus was waiting for ... a new covenant ... prophesied by their ancestors ...

Ezequiel 36

I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

I wonder if the water ... is WATER baptism in Ezequiel ... NOT!!!!!!

Especially if it's sprinkled.
