And Im sorry, I disagree with you, scripture makes plain what sin is and isnt, there are no grey areas with God, nothing is just left up to us to assume, I want exact quotes from Scripture that make it plain to anyone and everyone that it is a sin to smoke, Again, dancing not showing.

I have many times and will continue to do so! I work with homeless and the poor, its nothing to sit around with a group of them and have a smoke, Im in their world on their level and they listen to me, they wont listen to someone who comes at them with condemnation and pride!

I remember a time after leaving a friends church ( I wont mention denomination) but as we walked out to "shake the preachers hand" after service....he was lighting up a cigarette.....I stood there looking as if I had no idea where I was at that moment. Have to agree with most of the posts on here....cant imagine God lighting up just bc he was among sinners trying to witness. Btw...Hometown Guy ~

I am not arguing that smoking is harmful to health, but that still does not point out the "sin" in it. Nor does the list from Galatians, I cant find smoking in there anywhere. The point is, Just because you dont like it and your pastor preaches against it does not make it a sin.

I attended a southern baptist church for a while as a teenager
and remember well, the "deacons" and other men in "positions"
smoking around the front of the church. I knew in my young
heart that was just not right. At least I never saw the Pastor
smoking cigarettes.
