Dan,
just the benefit of having a home church to base out of that gives you an office an a personal asst. AND your wife a personal asst. that in itself is a blessing for an Evangelist. I'm not saying Phillips was paying some big salary but he was getting support from both Phillips and Hutchins....how much, I don't know.

If I was a full time Evangelist and a Church offered nothing more but to pay my rent or mortgage that would be HUGE!

When did he pastor in Bossier? The last church I knew he pastored was in Bogalusa. They were NOT conservative there. They were moderate but not conservative.

I heard that he moved around a lot. I heard him say that if you pastor a place longer than 5 years you will be locked in there forever. I don't know if that is really the case or not. Our pastor has been at our church for 19 years and we hope he is locked in there for ever.
