'Reverend' Is Not of Jesus

Reverend or Rev, Both are Titles Given by Satan!

Please don't accept the title Satan gives to his men and ladies!
What is this title? It is 'reverend'. Is it found in Jesus' Holy Bible? No.
Satan made up the title to boost an individual's pride!

The position of 'reverend' is also designed to separate clergy from laity. The reverend is over the laity. The reverend is the boss. This position is to make the reverend professional and the laity non-professional. The reverend expects to be elevated over the laity. If you don't obey the reverend, you are headed for hell! So, he or she threatens. Obviously, this doctrine is of demons.

This study is written to expose error within the Apostolic movement, only.

Reverend, The Holy Reverend, The Most Holy Reverend, Etc.

Are you just a reverend? Why not tack some more so-called spiritual words to your title of reverend? It all displeases Jesus anyway. Can your sin be any worse?

rev·er·end
1. Deserving reverence.
2. Relating to or characteristic of the clergy; clerical.
3. Reverend Abbr. Rev. Used as a title and form of address for certain clerics in many Christian churches. In formal usage, preceded by the: the Reverend Jane Doe; Reverend John Jones.
n. Informal
A cleric or minister. Used with the.

Nicolaitanes are those called 'reverends'. A 'reverend' is a nicolaitane!

Who do you want to please, God or a denomination? Sure a denomination can give you a license to preach, Jesus gives you the anointing to preach, so you don’t need a license! Your state can give you a license without belonging to a denomination.

“But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.” Revelations 2:6

“So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.” Revelations 2:15

The Greek meaning of ‘Nicolaitanes’ is ‘nico’ which means 'control' and ‘laitanes’ which means ‘people’. We get the word 'laity' from the Greek word for 'laitanes'.

Why is a reverend a nicolaitane? Because, he or she is controlling Jesus' people.

God hates the deeds and doctrine of those who control His people! RIGHT?

So, Jesus hates having people control His people!
What is the ministry of a pastor? To control or lead?
What is the ministry of a reverend? He/she is determined to control you!

Titles and Pride in Jesus' ChurchTitles are great to build ones pride! Titles are great to exult oneself! What did Jesus say?

“And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, [7] And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. [8] But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. [9] And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. [10] Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. [11] But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. [12] And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” Matthew 23:6-12

Do you ever see anyone who is a Christian having a title before his name in God’s Holy Bible? We don’t see ‘Apostle Paul’, ‘Apostle Peter’, Deacon _____, Minister ______, Elder ______, etc. I have chosen to follow the Holy Bible!

There is at least one Apostolic denomination that has bishops which are not shepherding a church and have never shepherded a church! They could careless what the Holy Bible teaches, for they themselves are not holy.

A local church has two pastors (only), but because they haven’t jumped through the hoops required of their denomination are called directors. The members of their church correct me by saying they are not pastors but directors. The pastors say they are not pastors but directors. I say ‘WHAT??????’! Jesus says, … . They are pastors, but they can't be called pastors until they have jumped through more manmade hoops to be called reverends!

Another church’s pastor only comes out to preach. He is not part of the praise and worship and prayer time. So, doesn’t he need to worship, praise, and pray with his church? Obviously, he or his denomination doesn’t think so! But, he is a reverend!

Do you think Jesus approves of 'reverend'?
Denominations started this man-made tradition!

When I hear or see someone addressed as 'reverend', my first thought is this is Satan's man or lady! Then I see the person's pride and self promotion.

What does Jesus see?

In Jesus,
Bruce the Brother

PS. A study on denominations can be found at:

PSS. Some of my friends who are in denominations state they could never teach a certain Biblical truth, or they would be kicked out of the denomination. Since I am not part of any denomination or organization, I can and do teach what Jesus gives me to teach! I have no fear of being kicked out of an organization! Thank you, Jesus!!!!

Just watch, religious spirits like to attack those who are spiritual!

Ya know, I suppose there is a need that Bro Klein has filled: Letting us know that many of the things we do are sins, without us even knowing it.

Taking (or using) the title "Reverend".

Not keeping the Sabbath.

Using birth control (most types).

Thanks, Bruce. We had no idea.

What's next?

As far as I know, the word "reverend" is only found once in the KJV. In Psalm 111:9 it says, "...holy and reverend is his name."
Both terms "holy" and "reverend" are used to designate the name of YHWH but are these terms to be reserved exclusively for YHWH? Nobody in the Bible is called "reverend" but people are called "holy" (ref 2 Peter 1:21). Was Peter wrong to call those prophets "holy?" Is it wrong to call someone "holy" or "reverend" today?

I think you'll find that most people think not. Surely we should all want to be called 'holy'.

I don't care for the "reverend" thing myself, but I certainly don't consider it a satanic title. What kinda goofiness is that?

The kind you find dribbled out on the internet by folks who can't find an audience anywhere else.

I wonder if someone who's first thought is of Satan when they hear reverand, might not be thinking to much of Satan?

Personally I think "reverend" is neither good nor bad, just descriptive of someone who is a minister. Some who are called "Reverend" are not good representatives of Jesus, some are. Their is only one name that is above every name....you are correct it is not Reverend......it is JESUS.

I've never demanded anyone call me anything other than calling me when it's time to eat.......

Blessing to you Brother.
