today is Friday, I have a good job, the Lord has blessed me beyond measure - more than I could ever ask or think - much less deserve.
I have a gorgeous healthy daughter whom I adore and friends and family that are priceless.
God kept his hand on me when I was away from him and took me back when I didnt deserve it..He's let me come to a great church with a pastor that loves me and watches out for my soul.
I have church family and friends I wouldnt trade for anything and am looking forward to Sunday services.
God has allowed me to obtain a nice home, full of nice things and I can go home to my house this afternoon and take a nap.
For these simple things, I am forever grateful and thankful to God.

The negative stuff about preachers, organizations and churches after awhile fatigues the spiritual man.
Let's talk about healing, gifts of the spirit, people being delivered, mission fields set ablaze with mass baptisms of water and spirit.

Bump. Thanks for this thread Keith4him!
What is with all the bloodshed around here?? Does anyone know how to edify the spiritual man anymore?

D4T, that was an awesome report!! thanks for sharing it!!
I rejoice every day and give God honor and glory because when I wake up in the morning, Walt is laying beside me and when I lay down at night, Walt is laying beside me and when I go through my day I can still talk to him and we can go places and do things together and he is still here to help raise our sons.
Man, oh man, Keith! I thought this thread was a great idea. But here I am sitting in front of my computer with tears running down my cheeks!! Thanks alot!!
God is sooooooooooooooooooooo good!!

I guess I came back at the right time, I don't have any idea what is going on, nor have I read much negativity.
You just have to remember in the words relating to our dear departed AFF member (at least departed for the time being)...
"Positivism and truth are never controversial enough to sustain a forum..."

My mom had 3 brain surgeries 30+ years ago. For as long as there were people at St Josephs who remembered her they called her "The Miracle Patient".
The doctor told my dad to expect the worst (they were both in their 30's and I was not even a teenager). My dad asked what he meant by that... Rather loudly the doctor exclaimed... DEATH!... I MEAN DEATH!... and if she lives she may never walk again or she may never remember who you are.
2 weeks later she was raking leaves in the back yard.
God is certainly good. When the day comes that she breathes her last we will be able to say nothing but only tell of His mercy and all the extra years He has blessed us with. And the years have not been just years of existence but she still retains all of her ability to move, speak, talk & walk as if none of it ever happened... over 3 decades of blessing.

A young woman at our church was told that she and her husband would never have biological children. They adopted 3 Asian children (at different times). Yesterday.....she gave birth to Levi Nathaniel.
When MAN says IMPOSSIBLE.....GOD says...not just POSSIBLE, but, PROBABLE!

He called their pastor and he arrived before they had gotten my mom in the truck. They rushed her to the hospital and the decision was made to life flight her to Herman Hospital in Houston.
It is about this time that we all began to hear about what was going on. When the helicopter took off she had no feeling and no movement on her left side. On the flight over she regained feeling. By the time the helicopter had landed she had movement back.
Really when they got her to the hospital they didn't really know what to do with her because she was okay. But they checked her in and began to run tests to see what the cause of this might have been. They found that the arteries to her neck were nearly completely blocked (this could well explain the increasingly slurred speech over the last few years).
She went into surgery and all went well. The arteries are now opened up nicely and she is recovering well. She was on high blood pressure medicine before but no longer has a need for that medicine. With the blockages gone her initial struggle was with blood pressure that was too low.
She had a stroke and God gave her full recovery even before the doctors were able to begin working on her.
If she had not had the stroke they blocked arteries would have never been found because both of my parents won't go to the doctor unless they are in very bad shape. (I grimace to admit that I have inherited this trait)
All in all... if I could roll back time and choose for her to not have the stroke I probably wouldn't because now she is set to be better off than she was before the stroke.
She has totally regained all feeling and movement and no longer has the slight slur she used to have and her blood pressure is doing great.
She is more whole now than she was before she had the stroke.
Yes sir... some wonderfully positive things are going on.

Praise God!!!!
