They're still US Citizens. They are covered by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The vetting should be done by the public and the media. The media has worked overtime to vet Trump, but they did nothing to vet obama. And they're still doing all they can to protect him.

What do you think is happening right now? Are you posting with a straight face? You don't believe the investigation into Trump's transition is 1) political or 2) being used to influence people? Where are the criminal charges, Aquila? I agree on one thing: investigate away, but keep it confidential (NO LEAKING!) and it shouldn't be politicized (that means Dems shouldn't be using the investigation to demand Trump admin resignations or for Trump to be impeached. And no fundraising off the investigation!)

The Democrats and media are politicizing this and using anything they can to try and influence people to call for Trump's head on a platter. The very thing you're claiming to be against, you've actually been pushing for this whole time.

Anyone running for POTUS should be thoroughly investigated. They have control of nukes for crying out loud.
This is a no brainer.
Frankly, if the intelligence agencies haven't been investigating leading candidates, they should be. If someone has a shady past with regards to business with foreign countries or terrorism, we need to know.

Seems like the Dems reacted very strongly to those who wanted to investigate and vett BHO.

I didn't. I did think the Birth Certificate fiasco was a farce. But I want any President thoroughly investigated. I figured it was standard for the intelligence community to investigate anyone running for President.

I do not believe the issue was a "farce".
I do believe there is a chance that BHO was not born in the US.
However, per the current legal definition, he would still have been a "natural-born" citizen.
So, in that sense it was a non-issue.
I do believe that for part of his college education he attended as a foreign student.
And that is why he has never released his records.

Just my opinion.
