I don't quite follow there.

I can see a point made where selfishness, being the root cause of sexual immorality and abortion as well as the national debt can be made, but but not that one caused the other.

God doesn't need to cause economic calamity. People do that all on their own.

There has never been a blessing on any nation that turned away from God.
And that is exactly what's happening right now. Financial and spiritual decline will be the result and it can only be turned around by returning to Christ, combined with repentance. The land will not be healed till THAT happens.

The United States has done more, historically, to eradicate slavery than any other race on earth.

You might want to do an intense study looking into the history of the Texas Rangers to find out what the Indians were really like and why we waged a war against them. They weren't exactly singing Kumbaya with Americans.

Where has this federal government went to eradicate slavery? The american civil war was over heavy taxation and states rights.
