I share that
The point is...every thing that we buy that is made in China, no longer circulates in America. Our farmers cannot make a living anymore. We used to be the "breadbasket" of the world. Now we import much of our food?
Get this. Our farmers are subject to stringent rules and regulations now. They cannot use certain harmful pesticides ...such as DDT. Yet, we import foods from countries that have no such ban on DDT. We still eat foods contaminated with DDT and other harmful pesticides even though our government banned the use of it here. And we wonder why 1 out of 2 people here get cancer?
China as been responsible for putting poison such as melamine in dog food because melamine artificially boosts the protein content in dog food. It has also been found in infant formula. Much of the vitamin C we consume in the form of supplements is made in a Chinese lab.
We used to have a huge furniture industry in this region of the USA. That industry gave jobs to families. It fed, clothed and took care of our needs. We bought furniture to furnish our homes, supplying the factories with orders, which then gave jobs to american people. We bought food from our farmers in America. They used that money to feed and clothe their families. They bought american-made furniture for their homes. We reciprocated each other here. The trade was balanced.
Now most of the furniture factories that once fed the people here in this
region have moved overseas. We buy furniture from overseas. The money we had just transferred to the people overseas. They are not buying Amerian made goods from Americans. It is not being reciprocated here in America. China has a huge trade deficit with America. They do not reciprocate the trading.
So...when are we to find some balance in trade with other countries? We cannot do it if corporations find larger profits in other countries. We will no longer have the ability to feed or house our families if there are no jobs left in America.
