Below and above are links to MSM and liberal news/opinion that give the details. The most detailed piece would be the HP article directly above in which the whistleblowers requested taking back BHO's "Transparency Award."

BHO has done nothing comparable.
You're right, W's firings were within the law. BHO's retaliations against whistleblowers are directly against the No FEAR Act mentioned previously. So yes, BHO's actions cannot be compared to W's.

Not so. In fact, much of the complaint against BHO about his actions against whistleblowers come from liberal sources!

Quote:
Barack Obama came into office promising transparency, but his administration is pursuing more leak prosecutions than all previous administrations combined.
Quote:
"There are currently 5 leak prosecutions, including the [Thomas] Drake one," under the Obama administration, Mayer reports, "five leak prosecutions are more leak prosecutions than every other previous administration combined."

Quote:
President Barack Obama, who as an Illinois senator was instrumental in passing legislation to protect government whistleblowers, has effectively criminalized public servants who risk their jobs to speak out and expose waste, corruption and unethical behavior among their colleagues.
Quote:
When campaigning in 2008, Obama promised to protect whistleblowers, saying their "acts of courage and patriotism, which can sometimes save lives and often save taxpayer dollars, should be encouraged rather than stifled," ABC News' Megan Chuchmach and Rhonda Schwartz reported on Aug. 4, 2009.
Quote:
...the New York Times reported on June 11. "In 17 months in office, President Obama has already outdone every previous president in pursuing leak prosecutions."

Quote:
...what makes this conduct particularly indefensible is how the Obama DOJ is venturing back into the past to dredge up these forgotten episodes. Sterling hasn't worked for the Government or had a security clearance in more than 8 years.
Quote:
[I]t's the DOJ's increasing willingness to target journalists as part of this crusade that has now escalated its seriousness.

And from The HUFFINGTON Post comes the headline:

Quote:
Obama More Aggressive Than Bush In Targeting Whistleblowers
The article is a reprint of a New York Times piece.

Quote:
The indictment of Mr. Drake was the latest evidence that the Obama administration is proving more aggressive than the Bush administration in seeking to punish unauthorized leaks to the press.
HP Link

I doubt I need to continue, though there are a lot more of the same type of articles and opinion pieces I could post.

No, it's not ... although Obama is holding a gay pride party at the White House this afternoon. Respectfully, JD, I don't understand how you can stomach supporting or offering excuses and sticking up for this President.

JD is a liberal. HE has no idea what conservatives stand for.
