Re: Crazy Birther Conspiracies....
Quote:
“[The] theory first emerged in the spring of 2008, as Clinton supporters circulated an anonymous email questioning Obama’s citizenship.
“‘Barack Obama’s mother was living in Kenya with his Arab-African father late in her pregnancy. She was not allowed to travel by plane then, so Barack Obama was born there and his mother then took him to Hawaii to register his birth,’ asserted one chain email that surfaced on the urban legend site Snopes.com in April 2008.
“Another early version of the theory, reported by the Chicago Tribune in June 2008, depended on a specious legal theory that was, for a time, the heart of the argument: that Obama was born in Hawaii but had a Kenyan father, and his mother was only 18 years old. Therefore, under existing immigration law, he was not eligible for automatic citizenship upon birth — a claim that depended on an understandable, but incorrect, reading of immigration law. Other theories suggested that Obama lost his U.S. citizenship when he moved to Indonesia or visited Pakistan in violation of a supposed State Department ban as a young man. (There was no such ban.)…
“Ironically, the birther movement didn’t really take off in earnest until the Obama team tried to debunk it.”

Re: Crazy Birther Conspiracies....
So he tried to debunk it and the suspicion grew.
That is what happens as a part of the natural course of rumors.
However, two years and three years later, it isn't Democrats who are bringing it up.
It isn't Democrats that are attempting to use the issue any longer.
After Obama addressed it, the issue eventually began to wane-- only to be stirred up over again by Republicans.
It's 24% or adult Republicans who today really believe the President was born in another country and it's being covered up by some political scheme.
24% of America's weak-minded population believe this garbage because of "conservatives" (loosely called so) of influence continue to stir this pot of boiling filth.

You're adding fuel to the fire by starting threads and responding.
So, while you're condeming and slamming those who have a different viewpoint...pot meet kettle.

Oh, so u would rather that no one speak on the lunacy of it all while those who fall prey to the nonsense increase?
I'm done with this.
The people who choose to believe this, choose to believe this without regard to common sense.

Hate is not always about race.
So stop assuming that my assertion is ONLY ABOUT RACE-- it is not.
I have already stated that I didn't believe the HATE was not all racially motivated-- especially by the national talking heads who continue to try to use this to score points with the paranoid and hateful weaker minded people in this country, who may have racial hate feelings towards our President.

Really JD anyone disagrees with you is now considered weaker minded?

In this situation, the folks I am referring to are weaker minded, not simply because they disagree with me, but because of what it is they choose to agree with or to be suspicious of in the face of facts that have already been presented and confirmed by more than a couple of sources.
It's not about me, it's all about them.

Weak minded draw conclusions, as in your case with a lot of emotion and avoid facts.
I wouldn't buy a used car if they refused to let me see the title.

A conversation takes two sides. You have to decide if you'd rather be a part of the solution or part of the problem.

I think those that believe his BC is legit may live in a bubble. No one in his right mind spends millions of dollars to keep his BC hidden PLUS his college papers.
He is NOT transparent at all. He LIED about that.
