Please tell me this is tongue in cheek and you really are aware that the Bible was not written in English, and everything is a translation from the original language and sometimes languages don't directly translate very easily and the original words were left in the English text.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message

Why do you seek a gift?

Right... and maybe he had a "special thing" for that adulteress he made sure didn't get stoned... or NOT!

The words talitha cumi are aramaic. Jesus knew aramic so it wasn't tongues. So Jesus never spoke in tongues. And if ya want to argue from silence that he might have then I'm goina argue from silence that he might have had a "special thing" for that adulteress.

There are known and unknown tongues according to scripture, right? Jesus being God manifest in the flesh more than likely knew them all.

Actually I proved my point. There are a great many things that the bible doesn't say didn't happen that you believe didn't happen. Can you prove they didn't happen? NOPE. But the bible's silence on such events is all the evidence we need to discount many of those maybes.

For example... maybe Jesus had contact with aliens from some far away planet while he was here on earth. Or maybe he took a ride in a space ship before he began his ministry. Or maybe he healed Peter's momma and thats why he followed Jesus. Or maybe he brought James' momma back to life and that's why James followed him. Or maybe he failed to save Judas' brother and that's why Judas betrayed him. Or maybe he made Gold dust appear in the air at the sermon on the mount. I could go on for days but all this is foolishness. Saying he might have spoken in tongues is on the same level.

Then I guess everyone speaks in "known" tongues. Hallelujah we all have the initial evidence of the Holy Ghost!
