It doesn't say "wives, obey your husbands"

It tells older women how to encourage the younger women, and gives examples

Yep, no way around it. Even can use other scriptures to support. Like how can a wife submit to her husband in eveything without obeying?



I know this rubs the natural man wrong but it's right as husbands loving thier wives as christ loved the church.

Keep reading past verses 21

Eph 5:22-24

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Submitting yourselves one to another is refering to the church body, not husband and wife.
