Re: So This Is What The Clark Brothers Are Up To!!
They had to change their name because of that failed deal with mike curb ! He is definitely different, i think he preached his own mom or dads funeral and went on for a couple hours, he raises his own love offering if you will, never seen that before.used to send out prayer cloths for donations.Ill bet that lady was glad she stayed ,cant argue with results i guess .

Re: So This Is What The Clark Brothers Are Up To!!
oletime, they made the newspaper here in Nashville back when they declared bankruptcy because it was the first time an artist / group had used that method to get out of a record contract. Mike Curb is famous for contracts that were bad for the artist. On the plus side he uses a lot of that money that should have gone to his artists to give to the arts in Nashville. Also built the Church of Christ University here, Libscomb, a really nice event center for concerts.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Interesting. I figured there must have been something to do with a contract that put a hold on everything for quite a while.

Interesting. That was always the talk. Guess that shows how reliable talk is, huh?

No, Robin Hood was a good guy. This guy doesn't sound so good, regardless of charity.

Re: So This Is What The Clark Brothers Are Up To!!
They were at our church last year and I thought they were great. Though I'll admit it feels like their new name is too obvious an attempt to mimic Kings of Leon. Plus - I didn't love the watered down rock they were playing on AI.
