Or maybe most folks think that the threats and violence was justified.
It's about as justified as wishing ill or the death of Rush Limbaugh or the similar acts that happened while W was President. Of course, you didn't bring that up now didja?

Jimmy did it so it's ok for me to do it. WA WA WA Just because some left wing democrat nut did it, does that give republicans who CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIANS the right to condone evil behavior? What will you say when the next right wing nut shoots and kills a democrat? I bet you will blame the democrat for getting in the way of the bullet!!!! He just shouldn't have been there. You people are amazing.

Both extremes have their wackos! The Republicans try to separate themselves from wacko behavior, just as the Dems do.

Violence, hatred, bigotry, etc are not justifiable acts. I saw a video last night that was supposed to show Congressman Emmanuel Cleaver being spat on by a Tea Party protester. I watched the video 3 times and didn't see the spitting. Also, the capitol police officer did absolutely nothing. Either she personally condoned the spitting and didn't do her or job or it just didn't happen. On the other hand I have seen and read the news reports on various news stations of congressional members having their office vandalized and an incident where a Virginia congressman's brothers home had the gasoline line to their propane tank cut. That was a case of mistaken identity. I believe that people who are committing these acts would have or have done other violent acts regardless of the health care bill. If that is what's in your heart then that is what you will act on, politics or no politics.

Is that what you are talking about?
According to what I saw on Fox it was a bullet that was shot in into the air a great distance away and didn't hit Cantor's office which is on the second floor. The bullet entered the window in a downward angle and didn't go one foot into the office on the first floor.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond police say the bullet that hit a window of Republican Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor's office had been randomly fired skyward.
Amid reports of threats and vandalism against Democrats who voted Sunday for sweeping health care reforms, Cantor said at a Washington news conference Thursday that a bullet was fired into his Richmond office.
In a news release, Richmond police said that the bullet had been fired into the air early Tuesday. It hit the front window of a building that houses Cantor's campaign office as it fell to back earth at a sharp angle.
The round landed on the floor of the office a foot inside a broken window pane. No one was in the building, and police say an investigation has yielded no suspects.

Can't believe you were watching FOX news. There may be hopes for you yet.
