Everything I hear about it is very bad. In fact, yesterday the news said one of the changes they made to the bill is to increase the fine for those that don't buy this insurance.
Folks can't afford it now and they want to increase the fine?? How ignorant is that. They don't care about the people.
I agree our healthcare needs reforming, but not what is on the table.
If it was such a good deal then why all the bribing and underhanded goings on?
Why all the secretive refusing to pass out the information to those that are suppose to vote on it?
Why the rush?
No there is something really, really, really wrong with this picture.
I am praying earnestly that GOD will step in and stop this from passing.
I think the folks behind all this think they are to big for God to bring down. We shall see.
The lying democrats have put a lot of the small print in there that is cover or their thieving ways. Obama has lied from the beginning.

I hate to burst your bubble, but God is not a Republican, God is not involved in healthcare legislation, man is. If anything God would want universal healthcare at the lowest cost to the consumer which is what true democrats want. Republicans have never offered a healthcare proposal because they support the insurace industry and the shareholders of the insurance industry. Capitalism at its best, while millions of uninsured go bankrupt and die. You should be ashamed of republicans.

How foolish of you to speak for God and say he would want universal healthcare! That is so ignorant to think God would want His people having to buy insurance when He provided healing for His people.

Thanks to sellouts like Mary Landrieu (LA) and Ben Nelson (NE), the joke bill called healthcare reform is moving on towards a Christmas Eve passage .... even though Congress hasn't read the actual bill up for the vote!
I'm not naive and understand this happens on both sides of the aisle, but it should be illegal for members of Congress to sell votes or be bribed into voting a certain way in order to get federal funds or other favors. It may well be "the Chicago way," but we all know how corrupt Chicago-style politics has been.
In my job, a person would be severely fined and face jail time if they did what these Senators have done.
Up to now, Senator Nelson was the one Democrat I supported. Not any more. If this bill passes, I believe Senator Nelson will be voted out, as will many of the others up for re-election this-coming fall.
Unfortunately it will be too late to save us from this bill, but I'm looking forward to see the majority of these Senators who supported this bill get voted out.
those two got lots of goodies but they werent the only ones accepting bribes in this bill.
The senator from Florida got his, as did the senator from Vermont.

I had heard several days ago that Nelson had been threatened if he didn't get on board with the Healthcare vote. I was waiting for that information to be pushed along so I could post it. It seems rather incredible for Nelson to say that he has always been independent and then to put up with this without crying foul.
I was so hoping he wouldn't be a sell out.

Offut AFB is an important base for missile defense and national security. It's where W was brought for a few hours on 9/11.
IF the BHO admin were to threaten the closure of that base, they'd have to go thru Congress and there's no way it would be allowed. The admin would have a nightmare PR case trying to handle the fallout and criticism if they really did threaten and tried following thru with closing the base.
Not saying it didn't happen, because I wouldn't put it past the administration ... but considering it was only mentioned once and no one in NE picked up on it or spoke on it (and they would have, believe me, I've lived there OAFB is a major fixture in NE ... 2nd to the NU football program) I don't believe it was a big threat.

The abortion issue was supposed to be a big deal to Nelson. He worked on the bill with Rep. Stupak. Maybe this article of information will make a difference for Nelson - hoping!!!
