the fbi had one of the bombers in custody before the bombings took place. the fbi knew these terrorists were in the country before the bombings took place and did nothing. Bush is responsible. We can extract information without torture, Bush is the one who wanted to be dictator but chickened out when the states would not enact the patriot act.

How? You didn't answer that question.

IF there was another way that worked I would think it would be used.

Are you saying the FBI knew they were going to bomb the trade centers?

I still want to know how you think Bush is responsible???

The correct answer is we don't torture. Water boarding wasn't considered torture and for good reason. No lasting damage, no broken bones, just a bath for a filthy terrorist.

Why is Bush relevant any longer? President Obama has been in charge with the Senate and Congress to back him up and we are still about to do the big swirly economically and socially.

Bush and Obama are both Progressives, believing Big Government can take care of us unlearned and unwashed masses. Both seem to think the Constitution is a document that can be dismissed without regard when the mood hits.

The Congress and the Senate, Democrat and Republican, both seem to be almost totally corrupt.

So let's lay the blame where it really belongs. In the hands of a procrastinating, uncaring for the most part, devoid of logic, and complacent citizenry.

the fbi had a bomber in custody in minnesota BEFORE the bombings. bombers were taking flight simulation courses without learning how to land planes. they knew the terrorists were in the country taking flying lessons before the bombing ever took place. the fbi knew this and did nothing, they wanted an excuse to attack Iraq. that is why bush is responsible.

For all the rule of law, torture is bad, Patriot Act is bad talk, tell me what about these guys taking flying lessons was illegal? What did the FBI have to make an arrest on? Hind sight is 20/20.

I am not necessarily for torture. However, I am not so nieve to think we can save our nation by just asking them a question and expect them go tell the truth.

IF giving them a truth serum that makes them talk and tell the truth, I think that is the way to go.
