While I can't be a cranky old bird, I can be tough as well.
It is hard to see one's wife, children, or family members going through something.

She did not go to work today but instead went to get some blood work & EKG done.
The EKG was fine & she will get the results of her blood test from her Doctor.
Specifically, they were looking to see if she had a mild Heart Attack.
So far it is clear!

Just overworked, overtired, & overstressed!
Stress can do major things to a person.... tell your wife to get some rest!!
My wife is normally very strong, never getting colds, not needing pain meds, but recently she has been complaining of feeling tired, feeling unwell, of feeling like she is suffocating.
Today she broke down & went to the Doctor & her Doctor ordered blood tests & a heart stress test.
She mentioned to me, "honey, if I die...." She wasn't joking, there was a tinge of fear in her voice.
I told her, "you won't die...not if I have a say about it!"
Please pray for her if you can.
Her name is Virginia, or I call her Virge, Virgie, or just Sweetie!
