Re: Biden: Hillary a Better Pick Than Me
I read an article the other day that pointed out Obama's legal ability to change his VP if he wants to...but the article went on to state that he would be unlikely to do so. Hmmmmmm...maybe Biden will come down with cancer or commit suicide or something, and be UNABLE to serve as VP. And then WHO, oh WhoooOOOoooo, will step into save the day?

After I listened to the clip I wasn't so sure that it seemed he was opening a door to exit. I thought he was trying to shore up the Hillary base.

Re: Biden: Hillary a Better Pick Than Me
I do hope he changes vp picks... it would be awesome! Because it would be a larger sign that he has no plan of his own other than to try and find something else he can do a little better than McCain (not saying she is better but that seems to be what osama is thinking) and it will prove to his people that he has no plan and he is a flip flopper. Go for it

Re: Biden: Hillary a Better Pick Than Me
I wasn't referring to the clip, really. I didn't watch it. (Well, till just now.) Biden's comments reminded me of singers who get up and apologize before they sing for how badly they're going to do. Defeatist rambling grating on my ears.
I just think it's interesting that CBSnews (I think that's where I read it) posted the article a couple of days ago (about O's ability to change his VP), Sean Hannity was discussing it on his show, Obama seems to be buddying up with Bill Clinton, and the article also mentioned that Hillary might show up with Obama on the campaign trail.
I'm saying they must be talking about it behind closed doors at the very least, because Biden is a VERY weak choice, IMO, and from the perspective of the Democratic party, they really need to offset the "Palin Effect." Hillary really would have been a smarter choice for Obama, except for the fact that she would overshadow his presidency with her own agenda, and might have him assassinated so she could step in and become the first woman president.
Just my mind wandering down all the rabbit trails....

What was your impression of the clip? Caving or pandering to Hillary supporters?

It would prove nothing to his people - they would love it because they know Hillary is stronger than Biden. I believe Obama didn't pick Hillary for his own personal reasons - she was too strong for him and would overshadow him......but, if putting her in would guarantee him to become pres, he'd do it now (post Palin).

I'm not sure. I think he was pandering, but it was overdone...like someone in a back room somewhere had been fighting with Obama about his VP choice--in front of Biden, crushing his confidence or something. The same lack of confidence a child would have when his parents fought in front of him over his bad grades and mentioned how much better his sister is in school. LOL!!!! He sounded very down on himself, and it makes him even less attractive as a potential leader of the country. Who wants a sad sap Eeyore in the white house?

I agree. (That was his most likely reason, and that she actually would do that.)

I agree that his pandering was overdone, but I didn't get the impression that he was down on himself. I thought he was appearing to be the humble pick for Obama.

It was out of character for Biden - that's what made me suspicious, but he is a BIG Clinton fan.
