Being from oversea's I haven't heard a lot about this issue... but who cares if they leave and start another organisation? do you have to be UPC to be saved? Some people are going to get hurt for sure, but as long as no one throws mud at anyone it shouldn't be any problems... I know a people on both sides... Paul and Barnabas went 2 seperate ways... did one of them backslide? (I'd say no) Were they upset with each other?? (I'd say yes!)

JimmyBanks, once again (for the millionth time) most of the problems that people have is with the manner in which it was done and the people who they attempted to include.

In all fairness, I know that there are good people in the WPF. I don't doubt that there are many that are very sincere in their desire to be pleasing to God and who are willing to make what they see as necessary great sacrifices. I just really think that it is unfortunate how this has been handled by some, and I very much fear that it is the fact that the motives of a few that were not pure that led to the methods of some not being pure. I pray that none of this has a devastating affect on reaching the world with the Apostolic message and that good relationships are not destroyed beyond repair.

WPF being all the way right... lol, yeah right... they still have women preachers and xmas... to me they're a bunch of liberals. You want conservatives, well, just PM me and I'll tell you where you can find them- I don't consider myself "conservative" btw, but from where I came from calling the WPF conservative is a joke. Their conventions still look like UPC fashion shows and the women's hair is just as crazy, and they're preaching about Baby JESUS at the xmas pageants... in the words of Charlie Brown (who is on that awful "tv thing" the WPFers hate- Good Grief!)

I don't believe they allow women preachers - my Pastor is WPF and he is definately against women preachers although he does allow women to testify and teach in a sunday school class - I am 30+ and have been in the same church since I was born and have NEVER seen a woman preaching in our pulpit and have heard SEVERAL messages from my pastor against a woman preaching or having spiritual authority over men (I am not sure though if it is in their bylaws)
