Re: I am Pastor Hugo from Brazil
Such a beautiful lot to build a church...a place that could be a haven of hope, a door of salvation to a people who have never had in their history a Jesus name church. A place that could be a lighthouse to those engulfed in heathen darkness.
My heart pains me to know that in my beloved country we have thousands and thousands of cities that have never heard the words of life…We have hands that have never touched a Bible, never held a song book, never heard a preacher preach. My family is a product of missionary outreach. A work our beloved missionaries started long ago before I was ever born in a country that was even much darker than it is today. I was born into this work other than my parents who were Catholics I know no other religion for many years ago our missionaries won my folks to the Lord when I was 14 years old. That was 22 years ago…my missionaries are with me on this trip but they are no longer young. I see a gleam in their eyes as I tell them of the cities that await a messenger from God.
The holding up of the torch is now in my hands and in the hands of young preachers they taught. By them obeying the go ye command and their example to us we have promised them to never let the light go out in our country.
We do not have the means as first world countries have but our feet will gladly go our hands will build churches if YOU will help us. We ask nothing for ourselves. My church gives me enough support to feed my family I only ask for you to help us with funds help build churches and help on trips into the far interior lands.
Right now we need help in a city called Naviai. The city has given us a certain amount of time to get stated on the building or they will take our lot and give it to someone else. We need to buy iron, concrete, blocks, cement etc to get the foundation in for a church. I need around 2000 dollars. After we get the foundation built I will let you know the price of bricks for the walls. We can do it slowly as God provides.
My wife had surgery this past month but has recovered nicely and is with us on this trip. We are so grateful for the many mercies of the Lord and the way the Lord opened doors for her surgery.
We could never repay the Lord and His people for all he has done for us and for our country. If you will help me I promise to help them.
