Greetings in the Name of Jesus. We are very much indebted to you for your kind letters and support which we have received and I am sorry we are so late to answer. It seems like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. This is the scripture that comes to my mind when I think of you: "I thank my God every time I remember you" (Phil. 1:3). We want you to know we do call your name in prayer. You are important to us!
We are very thankful that God is moving all over Brazil. As you know this is a large country and requires much traveling but God has given us extra strength and new works are going up in so many places.
Tomorrow a group of our people are traveling to the far north to evangelize and lay the foundation for the north Brazil headquarters work. Last month a group went up there and cleared the land and dug a well. This month the group is also reaching out to some other areas on their journey. This is funded completely by faith and they are reaching into areas where churches have never been before. Please pray for them. Many of these areas have very poor living conditions that you cannot even begin to imagine. Yet it is amazing to see the way these people who have nothing still praise the Lord with such great excitement.
In June we are preparing 2 other groups to go to the North and South. Please pray for these groups as the devil fights hard and it is always a major spiritual battle. Satan throws serious obstacles in the path, problems ranging from health to financial. But we know the God that has helped us achieve massive victories in so many places.
Not only a place to sleep without being bit by spiders or snakes is challenging on these trips but eating intestines and all other parts of animals that Americans never eat can keep you entertained! Other places food is rather scarce abut you can usually find some kind of fruit is so cheap.
We finished the foundation for one more daughter work here in Maceio and plan to begin the walls as soon as funds are available. The Tabernacle in south Brazil is coming along nicely and we are hoping that the Lord provides for us to get windows, electric and other things put in soon.
With your help we are fulfilling this mission together. Thank you so much.
As we pray and obey, the Bible says God is faithful to do "above and beyond all we can ask or think!" God has sustained throughout the decline in support. We praise Him for those who are touched to pray and give, and can truly say, "Great is Thy Faithfulness!"
