That is what I was saying all along is the disparity of wealth.
If Gas companies keep getting wealthy off of you and I, that is the thing that revolutions are made of!

People can only take so much, and I think we are at the breaking point with the price of gasoline. The market is being driven by fear and we are the ones paying the price.

I was shocked at how much I spent on groceries the other day.
Absolutely, brother! I support them wholeheartedly, too! I have lots and lots of family members who are truck drivers, so I understand what they're going thru. Not to mention the price that each of us is paying for fuel for our own vehicles!

I'm just saying that I am saddened by the fact that I doubt that even 8 miles of trucks will be enough to make a real difference.

Of course, I'm in a bit of a pessimistic mood today anyway, so who knows? maybe I'm wrong. hope so!!

I don't know how much a difference it will make either, to be honest with you. Our government doesn't seem to be doing much of anything about this problem. Now Bush is saying we can use the stimulus money to help pay for gasoline. Gee, that makes sense! Give OPEC even more of our money! Makes me angry just thinking about it. In my opinion, a fair price to pay for a gallon of gasoline would be around $1.20-$1.50 per gallon.

Bush tried to get the Democrats to vote to open up drilling in Alaska and to ease restrictions on building refineries. They would not do it because they have sold out to the environmentalist. High gas prices are the result. All of you who voted for democrats to fill Congressional and Senate seats need not complain. You got what you wanted.

Re: 8 miles of truckers

Apparently, this group of protesters is asking for a $2 cap on the price of a gallon of fuel. They marched on the Senate and are now having some sort of indoor rally, because of the rain in DC today.

Amen...

I wonder what the actual change of the price of a gallon of gas is if it were indexed against the fall of the dollar?
