Re: Truckers are slowing down

Speaking of speeding:

I remember several years ago an evangelist out of our church, who is now the pastor of this church, was preaching at a church that was about 40 miles away. Our pastor decided that it would be a good idea for us to come visit this evangelist, so we all jumped into our cars and the RACE WAS ON!!! Hehehehe. You shoulda seen all the apostolics, treating that highway like it was a race track!!! Talk about ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!!!

We had fun on that trip. When we got there it was a race to find good seating because the church was so small. Still, we had good church that day.

Ya know, it's memories like this one that sometimes makes me wish I was still going to church. I do miss that sense of family. I don't miss not being able to think for myself.

This was back when Brother Chambers was still alive. It was his church there in Bicknel, IN.

Why can't you go to church AND think for yourself Rico?

This was right after my Mom had given me that Buick LeSabre. At the time it was the newest car with the lowest mileage I had ever owned. I had so much fun on that trip because I was actually able to keep up. I don't think anyone was going less than 70 that day!! We started passing each other up and having a good old time!! It's funny that I can remember the trip better than I can remember what the preacher preached on!! Hehehehehe!

It's a long story, C. I am a very conflicted individual when it comes to church. On one hand there are things I really love about being in church. On the other hand there are some things that happened that I don't know if I will ever be able to move past.
