Congress would never suspend the Constitution and give total power to either McCain or Obama....this is America. There's no comparison.

Yes. I'm just not out to use the GOVERNMENT to make people live the way I want them to. I'd much rather befriend them and allow the Holy Ghost to convict them...then minister to them as a friend.
I think the Gospel flurishes and is in fact empowered when men are free...even if some use that freedom to sin.

Yeah, the same was said about Germany pre-1933. The German Reichstag would never make Hitler a dictator, his party didn't have all of the majority etc.
If we don't learn the lessons of history we will repeat them. Not saying that it will happen, but there are clear warning signs of a a radical agenda by this group.

The next step, Canada is an example, it will be a hate crime to speak out against Homsexual unions in Church. The have already tried to compare being gay with being black or other unchangeable characteristic and it is pre-juidicial to disagree or speak against gay issues.

Here's what I believe, and I know many will disagree with me. I believe that freedom is holy...even if free men use that freedom to sin. I'd vote for the candidate that is for a free and just society for all...including sinners. The Catholic church already tried to enforce morality on an entire continent, it doesn't work if done from the top down. It has to bubble up from the heart of individuals. And in all honesty, allowing sin to run it's course may be messy...but it will demonstrate before everyone the pitfalls involved. If they legalized gay marriage today...in five years the divorce rate among gay marriages will be shown to be through the roof. It will become obvious to all that the lifestyle doesn't offer any long lasting peace or love. It would become a joke for all to see. Then before you know it most gays would opt out of marriage because of the messiness of legality. It would just be a social provision for those few eccentrics who find novelty in saying that they are married. And the entire time...churches can simply refuse to perform them. Let these people go to a justice of the peace or whatever.
So in my opinion, freedom for all to live as they choose is holy...even when men choose to live sinfully.
