Once again Dan resorts to a logical fallacy. In this case he limits the possibilities to exclude the fact that they were kinsman and additionally he suggests that Ananias would be in fear and consider Paul so evil that he would not address him as a kinsman. Yet he at the same time suggests Ananias KNEW Paul had repented enough to be a brother in the Lord! That is incredible!
How much must one repent to be considered a brother in the Lord ???? You're bordering on silliness ...

According to the definition someone above gave for the word brother, Pauls simply believing could be the reason for him being called brother. It does not make him born again, saved, or even a child of God. It simply lumps him into a class of folks that believe in Jesus Christ.

Please stop trying to change the topic. Start another thread and discuss it if you like
It isn't beside the point. You specifically asked in one of your posts: "Is it the truth that baptism includes repeating the triune phrase as a formula OVER the baptismal candidate yes or not? If not, and someone was baptized that way was that baptism done in TRUTH? Just how much TRUTH is essential?" I'm just responding to what you specifically were asking! If you were asking it then it can't very well be beside the point YOU were trying to make, can it?

Yes, it matters that they did not obey truth - truth as God sees it, not necessarily as you or I might see it.

How much truth does it take to be saved?
Since Jesus is the Truth, He's all the truth we need.

What about someone that believes in preterism and if preterism is NOT the truth how much does that truth matter? Is the eschatological truth irrelevant and trite?
We don't come into salvation knowing all truth. Instead, truth is something the Holy Spirit has to reveal to each of us as we grow in Christ. No Biblical truth is ever irrelevant or trite; it may not be salvational but that doesn't make it irrelevant or trite.

PRAXEAS DO YOU READ OTHER'S POSTS ... OR DO YOU LIKE THE WORDS YOU POST ON THE PAGE ????

Dan states clearly

Quote:
2. What biblical truth have you proven other than in the context of Acts 2 and 3, Paul addressed his national kinsman as 'brethren' ... a truth indeed ... yet RR would like to apply adelphos to " admit" that the term "Brother" as referenced in Acts 9 had nothing to do with the Body of Christ.
Praxeas "rebuttal" ....

Quote:
hey why do you protest so much when I suggest he could be calling him brother because they were both Jews unless you were making a point? come on Dan. It is OBVIOUS from scriptures that Jews called other kinsman brothers having nothing to do with being saved Christians. And that can very well be the case there. Do you agree or disagree and if you disagree WHY do you say he called him brother...why even ask the question if you did not have a point? Save your credibility here friend and stop playing games
You have to decode before responding ... my good friend.

Ok so if God holds us accountable for what we know...then why send out Missionaries preachers apostles and so on... cause if we preach it to them and they deny it then we have damed them to hell ...
NO?
Truth is important.
Our truth isn't important but His truth is.
If baptism formula wasn't important then why did they have to be rebaptised?
on the other hand if we thought it was part of salvation why don't we thow them in the tub as soon as they get to church?

lol. How about telling us what your point was in Ananias calling him brother then AND while you are at it explain why out of your three theories for why he called him brother why the last one where you say he was a member of the body of Christ seems to be your favorite one? It's clear that was your point and why you asked that question.

avoiding the fact that you contradicted yourself Dan..let's recap...he would not have called him Brother as a kinsman because of fear and the evil he Paul had done...YET your third theory which you seem to endorse has a Paul that is a member of the body of Christ...meaning he must have repented in your view....so if he repented in your view WHY would Ananias still fear him and consider him evil and thus NOT refer to him as brother in a nationalistic/kinsmen way? That does not make any sense Dan.
