However, DKB's degrees ARE legit and he is still being criticized. I believe the criticism toward LS and others has merit, but this thread has zero merit. It's simply a personal attack which employs elitism.

Even if it were bogus (and it's not), I wonder at the person who enjoys digging up story after story on preachers who mess up. We've had the LS story, the Fogarty story and now this. Really, what's the point, and why is it always the same folks who seem to revel in the expose?

The problem I see here is a man who is held up as the theologian who speaks for the entire Oneness world and he took a short cut in an area that he really should have taken extra time.

Why is Stoneking's criticism legit but asking questions about the leading theologian of the UPCI isn't?

It's only a personal attack? Isn't it factual that he has a degree from an overseas school with an inferior academic reputation compared to the many options available in United States?

I'm glad you asked what the point was. What is it?

A little self-critique of our fellowship as a whole? What does it say about us if there are so many astericks on our resumes in this area? Why is it such a problem at all?

Define "legit."

Does it not matter where one gets their education? A school's reputation for excellence and academics means nothing??? Tell that to the guy who wallowed in debt to attend Harvard, or for the preacher that suffered through the rigor of attending Gordon-Conwell.

Slander? You are a little upset, defensive and really speaking inaccuracies. What has been said that is slanderous?

No one has said the degrees are not legit.

I do not see how pointing out that UNISA seems to be less of a quality school than Rice University and the University of Texas and finding the choice of that school puzzling, has anything to do with slander.

I had nothing to do with the Fogarty deal.

Plain and simple when I see people claiming a degree I look and see what the school looks like and what they had to do to gain it. I am curious.

Stoneking's was well bogus.

DKB is not claiming a bogus degree, but it does appear to be a serious shortcut for someone who presents himself as an authority in Theological circles.

He claims to have "THE TRUTH" and to question his theological training is none of my business.

Seems he is above questioning in the minds of some.
