The "at my direction" really gets me - - well, duh, you are the president, so wouldn't that be assumed that you directed them. So, to state it was like - just in case you forgot that I'm president, I I I I I I I I I directed it. It was unneeded to say, at my direction.
I turned off the clip after he said that. I was thinking - HELLO! - someone has already been there, paving the way - Narcissist. LOL!

Just heard that portion of his speech this morning on the radio and thought - - well, good thing we've got you around!

*sigh* Wanting to refocus the war on terror to the arena that many people feel like it should be is not staying away from the war table. As near as I can tell he is sticking to that doctrine. As far as many, many people are concerned, we cannot get out of Iraq fast enough. However, that doesn't mean they don't want to fight those who attacked us where they actually live. It's not "Iraq or nothing".
