Flat? What parts of Texas have you been to. I think it's a holdover from the Alamo. Funny things some of those guys weren't Texans.

Yep, mountains in West Texas, the Hill Country in South Texas, East Texas is very green,with Pine Trees and Lakes. Beautiful Wildflowers as well. We honeymooned in West Texas years ago. And of course, Texas is a whole nother country.

This will be my first time in Texas. We're going to San Antonio for two days, and then on down to South Padre for 4 days.

There may be a few great places in Texas, but I am not in one of them. The Rio Bravo... er... I mean, the Rio Grande Valley needs to be absorbed into and become the newest state in Mexico. They can name it Nuevo Tamalipas! I'd rather be in Marfa looking at the lights. That'd be better than wot they have to offer down here. Night clubs... bars... sports bars... strip clubs everywhere in between the cities (outer city limits).

You should love San Antone, the river walk, great places to eat too. And Padre Island is great.
