Of all the churches you could bash, man, we ain't one of em'....don't bother having your wife learn those songs I sent you, they are too worldly, I mean, they weren't written at least a 100 years ago, sheeesh.

And that, my friends, is the single greatest threat to the future of the UPCI.
Not liberals or conservatives, not pants or hair, not Trinitarian sympathizers or shirt tailed singers, but the lack of a transcendent love for the unity of the Spirit.

The only place I have seen it is in a Party where the Keg is on tap, and in Wedding Receptions with open bars, & at Concerts where God was nowhere being lifted up.
IMHO those things cater to the flesh.

It will never change.
It will die a slow death before it changes in any way.

Unfortunately, I think you are correct!

Not all change is good!
I believe there is scripture for that.
Pro 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

Sounds like a stumbling block to YOU.
There are many people that have never experienced those two things (kegs and concerts).
My outlook on what gives God praise changed (life changing actually) when I saw a drummer take off on a drum solo in the middle of church and tears were streaming down his face because he was using "his gift" to worship God.
At first, I stiffened up thinking how in the world can this "beat" be praise to God because it sounded like a loud rock concert. If God ever spoke to me it was then when he said who are you to determine who and what form praise is to me.
I asked God to forgive me of my closed mindedness and it has changed my outlook on worship/praise!

What did you think when you heard the result of resolution 4 last September?

Again, the comment that caused quite a stir was the use of Fog Bank, Fog Lights, & Strobes in our worship service.
I believe IMHO that it is just catering to the flesh.
Simple comment.

I was shocked that it passed.
I shouldn't have been.
Nothing has really changed.
In fact, the only real change is that our traditions seem to be of more and more importance every day.
Mark my word, error, after error, after error awaits us in the very near future. This happens when an entire movement turns a blind eye to Truth in order to cling to what "used to be."

Knowledge will always eventually win over superstition.
