That's simply not true. Whatever JG is....he is a soul winner with a packed out church. Teaches several bible-studies personally every week. I have preaced for him for weeks at a time. I don't agree with everything about his thinking, but have the most respect for him.

Yes, as well, I have spoken to several of the Men in the OK Dist. who are NOT happy about this meeting taking place. They (the Majority) are not pushing for this. Weather or not they agree with the vote.

Would someone please clarify who in the world you are talking about when you say "JG"!!??
At least two people on here have thought that was Johnny Godair, but he is not in Tulsa, he's in NC. I have seen "WH" several times as well. How many pastors have these initials? Folks, this is how rumors get started. If you are to lazy to spell out someones name, don't post their initials to just leave it open for rumor mills and murmuring.

OK...JG is in fact the man from North Carolina....
WH is a reference to the poster " Whole Hearted" and not the other man in North Carolina...abriviating poster names is very common and once you've gotten used to the frorum shortcuts you will get it...my shortened name is T1.
The references about JG and Tulsa are about a conference he is helping to sponsor taking place in Jan. and in our fair city of Tulsa...there are multiple threads about this that are active right now.
The reason we do not spell out names has to do with decorum and slander....it has been a long held practice to use initials only when talking about Apostolic preachers (especially conservative ones) in a negative light or as a part of the routine gossip...in times past Admins would even delete posts and gives the poster an infraction (or even a ban) if they did not use initials only...

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?
Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

That is only 2 groups listed there. The far right and the Tulsa group are one and the same. What is the third group?

Furthermore, if they are not "preaching" for a non-UPC pastor in the area, there is nothing in the manual that requires notifying the presbyter, DS, or anyone else. When the National Youth Division brought a meeting to Kansas a few years ago, no one contacted me (I was DS then) OR the presbyter about it. In fact, they didn't even ask the local pastor. They just did it.
Complaining about this meetings seems like a double standard in my opinion.

That is the key, it was the organization bringing a meeting. The Tulsa meeting is being put together by men who are currently UPCI and have contacted the DS or presbyter.

Well that would never be the problem around our church. We preach control not that you will go to hell for having one because there is no way to prove that you will.

A little too moderate? How can someone/something/somewhere be a little too moderate?
