Sometimes these threads and posts are a sort of "test" and we see what's really inside a person by what comes out when a little pressure has been applied.

It's pretty revealing.
Correct.

I will readily admit that I am a lightning rod at times. I do not purposefully try to get folks mad at me, but I do try to stoke the fires of conversation. I try very hard to debate issues and not personalities. I do fail sometimes.

None of that is valid reason for anyone to threaten anonymously.

Bro,

We really should let this alone.

The PM was dealt with immediately. The person apologized for their bad judgment, and hopefully you have forgiven them.

PP,
I'm not saying that you are doing any "lynching". I'm just saying that there are many threads and topics started as though the UPC was just a big hole of mud, IMO.

All I'm saying is that not every person sits in the mud and when any topic is looked at as an "overview" - it's going to make people angry. It just stands to reason.

There are some things on the personal choice standards that I don't agree with. Do I think every single person is stupid - no - just some elements.

Again, when the opinion looks like a judgment and overview of the "whole" - it's going to have some fall out.

I have not named that person, nor will I EVER name them.

But Matt, I think the underlying issue needs to be discussed. BTW, I think this thread has been very, very civil.

Point taken. I can see that you might receive an anonymous threat, from time to time. Who can tame you?

Lots of things that are said on these boards may make people uncomfortable and even upset or angry by times. But how do we act and react to that? Does it give a person the right to "go off" on someone else and threaten them?

Why would anyone want to "out" someone else?

Check your spirit folks. One wrong (if there's a wrong) doesn't justify another.

Wow, I am surprised that you feel this is warranted.

PO, I am a nobody and I know it.
