I'm still waiting for a response. Please think very carefully about this before responding - because when you are against something you do not partake of it no matter where, why and when. In other words, do not watch a video tape of a tv program rather it is sports, news, history, documentary, animal planet, recaps of 9/11 or whatever.

Right.
It's like one minister who is actually on this forum. When commenting about the TV issue, he said, "We'd have to admit we were wrong if we changed our view on TV."
Hey, what's wrong with admisison of error??????
Another preacher also once similarly said, "We cannot let them know we're just human beings, too."

I believe this and preach this. You will not find me watching a TV at my house, at a motel, at a reasurant, or anywhere else. I also believe that anything that comes out of Hellywood is wrong including cartoons or anything else. We don't watch DVD, VHS, or Youtube. I don't watch preaching videos either.
You can stop waiting now.

It's good you keep to your personal convictions.
But why no conviction against the Internet? Doesn't that seem to be a bit inconsistent?

Excellent - I'm glad you're consistent, however, I'm sure there are others (matter of fact, I know there are) hypocrites that aren't and IMO there would be know difference than what your previous statement for those ministers that have television. As far as Heaven and Hell issue - that would be for disobeying those that have rule over you, not for having a television per say. How many ministers absolutely follow the manual word for word? If not, then that would be disobedience. Unfortunately, for some people getting forgiveness is easier than permission.
As far as UC and liberals go, there will never be an agreement on certain issues - we must remember there are gray areas in life that are not black & white. Need to learn balance. Instead of being a right wing or left wing its good for some to be the middle of the plane that carries the passengers to their destinations

Exactly - I'm afraid that people are depending too much on what a manal says than to have personal convictions. Instead of reading a library full of books, the BIBLE is good place to start and there are commentary books that helps with the understanding.
(I am UPC and have been for 35 years) - like anything else you will agree and disagree. I honestly cannot think of any areas of my life that I ALWAYS agree with whatever it is: work, church, friends, family. How dulll this world would be if we all agreed and had the same thought process.

do you leave threads when someone has an avatar from TV?? (like I believe someone has a South Park character as thier avatar here)
What if that tv avatar was actually a moving second or two long clip from a tv show?? Would that make you leave threads where that is showing???
What about smilies??? Some of those smilies have appeared on television... I think you shouldn't go in threads where the smilies have been used...
