Nope. I'm not upc and your not upc, (I don't think).. so it really is not any of my (our) concern.. I shouldn't have made that statement.

I appreciate your retraction.

And George.. stating facts is not the equivalent of bashing. It just kind of feels and sounds the same way. No hard feelings. God bless the UPCI & the WPF. Your opinions and my opinions are just that.. just opinions.. and I'm ok with you being wrong.

i.e. Several who left UPC and created WPF were heard making comments about UPC preachers who had TV yet none of those men would use the system and press charges on the preachers who had TV in their homes. What I was saying is this - if they won't press charges on men they knew to have TV's in their home, then they will never keep TV out of the WPF either.
When you made the statement the WPF was doing what "the UPC was supposed to do," that equals a bashing because you were in essence stating the UPC isn't doing what it should. You were wrong to say that just as you were wrong to say what you just retracted. And, in your words, I'm ok with you being wrong.

I happen to know the judicial system was used year after year for decades. It wasn't untried. The tide was simply turning. Not to be harsh with this comparison, but it's like the Supreme Court out there in California. Their people have twice voted against Gay Marriage, but the leadership of California (the Supreme Court), and their leaders (senators, legislature, governors) have the opinion otherwise. It's just a matter of time until they breakdown the will of the people until they say "What does it really matter"? The GM knows this too. And eventually Gay Marriage will be a reality in every state in our dear nation. Same with what these in UPC saw happening. Not putting it on equal ground as Gay Marriage, but definitely things that they felt were long ago settled were year after year being challenged, until the will of the leaders was more and more becoming broken down.
So, these men did what they felt best, and left. JG, NW, CC, etc all these men were in leadership positions at one time with the UPCI. To me, it's not hard to understand why they did what they did. They love the brethern of the UPCI, but jumped ship because they didn't like where that ship was sailing.

I never said "those in leadership." You should re-read my post. I was not talking about voting on an issue. I was stating many preachers would not use the judicial system to fight issues they left over. They should have at least given the judicial system a try before running away mad. i.e. press charges on your neighboring pastor that has TV in his home if it is such an issue to you. Just for the record, I don't have a problem with TV. I do have a problem with preachers condemning their neighboring pastor for having a TV and refusing to use the system given tme to press charges but running away instead.

Oh, pretty much (at least on this topic) you can...

What he said!
I have only been around for about a year and a half now, and Bill has been pretty much every flavor of Christian persuasion you could conceive of, in that amount of time. And condemning of everyone else who doesn't believe like him in each new persuasion.

I'm saying the system has been used many times. They felt it would accomplish nothing but the inevitable, which is still to come. So they formed a new fellowship doing things the way they want to do it. What's wrong with that? Pressing charges would not have helped. Too many "dirty hands" on the issue.

Yeah. I don't know Bill too well other than a few posts.
I was thinking maybe off-subject on this one and in terms of how our disagreements can be. They can be quite cantankerous and sensitive because of the implications of such opinions. One crowd feeling the flickering flames of hell implied by one's position, and the other feeling the hot iron of a pitchfork implied by their position. Sort of an observation, that's all.

From a general observation standpoint, I would agree with you.
