Re: One liners you remember from Ministers
This is not a one liner..... And I hope I don't get in trouble relating this! Please give me a little grace! Just thought it was funny, and I haven't forgotten it, after all these years!
At the Salt Lake City conference, many years ago, with a revival before the conference, Bro. Black was praying with a man off the streets. He was trying to get through to the man how he needed to humble himself in his praying and how he needed to tell God that he was just no good. A no good person!
He kept saying to the old man, "Just tell the Lord how no good you are! Just tell Him! Tell Him how no good you are!"
Finally the old man looked up, with his hands raised, and responded loudly, "Lord, you know I'm a NO GOOD SOB!" ..... Of course he didn't use the letters, he said the words, rather loudly!. Oh Bro. Black leaned over him trying his best to keep anyone from hearing what the old man was saying!
He got what he asked for!
