Nothing like the coordinators had presented? That will be a tough one come February '08 because the whole thing has been "presented" by the coordinators in so many different ways.

Keep up the hype friend....

They don't really list a lot of the "hard core UC" crowd (I know, that's a broad generalization, but you know what I mean). That's why I've questioned the "anti-resolution #4" motive.
And c'mon... Myles Young as a fire breathing ultra conservative radical? That don't seem to match up with reality.
It seems like the UC's have been dragging their feet to join this and may not even like the looks of Tulsa at the end of January.

It's misdirection Renda ... the same misdirection that was used w/ the recent D. Bernard fiasco ... the blame/attenction was shifted to the whistleblower ....
now a fictitious "hacking" of a publicly accessible page ... which is not password protected .... is the reason why this nascent org has somehow screwed things up royally by publishing a "fluid" list on various occasions on various sites.
It's amateur politics at it's best ....
BTW, It didn't take hacking ability to figure this one out ... no passwords needed.
I knew that they would have registered the name worldwidepf.org/worldwidepentecostalfellowship.org after seeing the new org name plastered on their bible quizzing site. *common sense*
Someone else (don't know who) was creative enough to figure out the public url/ address for the under construction site ... by trial and error ...
http://www.worldwidepf.com/page.php
that's not hacking .... it's surfing.
The incompetence is in publishing an unconfirmed list on the information highway for all eyes to see.

Tulsa in the middle of the winter? I was on the coordinating committee until I took a real hard stand on scheduling the Tulsa meeting for May when the Gambel Oak is green.
They kicked me out for that... and the fact that I was watching the NLCS on a handheld Sony TV during our October planning session. And because I had a beard like General Grant and was wearing a Hawaiian shirt. And no socks. They never really preach or say anything about socks, but just show up and put your feet on the table exposing your bare ankles and suddenly it's an "issue."

The one who used the unfortunate word, "hacked," took it back and explained that he had mispoken. We should allow him the courtesy to do so. Also he has nothing to do with Tulsa so we shouldn't ascribe the "hacked" attribution to these folks.
Your last statement however is still on the table. What prompts people to make such lists? In my last post I rather gratuitously added myself to the "Tulsa Coordinating Committee!"
What was I thinking? What were my motivations? Am I really justified in comparing my beard to General Grant's?
Oh... and the URL for the page is in Google's cache. Though not all of the pages have updated there. Whatever "surfing" was done, was done by a Google spider bot. Here's a tip: When setting up a new web site, set up a testing server. This can even be a "virtual server" that resides on a hard drive in your home. You can even configure a portable Flash Memory Stick to act as a server. That way you can develop your secret membership lists and your plans for global domination without Google's bots blabbing everything to the world before you're ready to unviel your plans.
You know what this whole scenario is like? Monologuing. Monologuing is what the villain does in the comic books when he's got the hero down and is about to finish him off. Before he pulls the trigger, the villain goes off on this seemingly endless speech about how his powers are greater than the hero's and how defeat was inevitable and world domination and power is now in his grasp... but he goes on too long and the hero is saved by a Google bot tirelessly crawling the world wide web. Happens everytime in the funny papers.

Actually, it still stands since KP isn't the only one who suggested this:

Someone hacked into it, and released the unofficial information early.

The domain owner info was made public on WhoIs ... owners choice.
Someone just figured out the very public url ....
The mistake was that of the web owners ... making the pages public.

I had missed that. Point well taken.
And just for the record and if anyone's still interested, as I argued on another thread, Elfin didn't hack the Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship site.

As Daniel said, Elfin "surfed" the site and the publically accessible pages.

For an intelligent individual, you certainly often stoop to the kind of slurs and insults this post contains.

Another thing--the liberal intelligentsia around here love to tout the ethical high road, and have tried and tried to find some technicality in the manual to hang the Tulsa men over.
How about the ethics involved in going in and copying pages off a web site that was not intended to be released yet? Even if no hacking was needed, that's like walking into someone's house and taking something, and justifying it by saying, "Well, they should have had their door locked if they didn't want me going in there and getting their stuff."
Give me a break.
