Your use of quotation marks for "man of God" is a good indicator showing you don't believe a Pastor has authority or is a man of God.

Also, if the Pastor is the man of God he should be, then Jesus wouldn't be forcing any issue as you may hope.

You may contend what you will, but it does not make it so.

Correct that he wore a beard, which again was the law and custom for Jews. The second part is another assumption.

If he were the "man of God" he should be there would be no question about someone who is a "man of God" with a beard also standing on the platform.

I'm not sure if I'd say that it is an indicator showing MTD doesn't believe a pastor has authority in the body. I'd take it as a "comparison" to a "human authority" who might claim authority over God Himself.

I'd pray that is the case. But Christ's greatest opposition and challenge did come from the religious leaders of His day. And I think a sincere man of God would feel pretty ashamed if Jesus showed up just as He was condemning those wearing beards to Hell or ranting about how men with beards would not be permitted to grace the platform.

Re: Church Attendance

I've heard a term used around here, and I think it is relevant here. Many pastors condemn beards because they "feelz" that the beard isn't representative of Apostolic identity. The problem with this is that our identity should be grounded in Christ alone, not any given movement or human tradition. Men are often emotional and sentimental about their history, heritage, and traditions. Frankly, it doesn't matter what any pastor "feelz" about a beard. There is absolutely no BIBLICAL prohibition or mandate regarding beards. Any man grounded in the Word will therefore hold no prohibition or mandate regarding beards.

So, you're saying that those pastors who condemn beards and refuse to even allow the thought of having a bearded man on the platform would violate their precious "feelz" for Jesus, but not men whom Jesus died for???

I have a serious reality that I think we should consider...
Matthew 25:40
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Jesus has already been denied many platforms, and has been cast out, and made to feel unwelcome, in many congregations because of a beard. For in so much as they have done it unto any sincere, born again, Holy Spirit filled man... they have done it unto Christ Himself.

Of course, one must believe the Scriptures are greater than the traditions of man to truly grasp the seriousness of this reality. Souls have been lost, messages never permitted to be preached, souls that might have been saved as the result of a bearded man's ministry lost, all over this putrid tradition of man.

Just because you "feelz" it's not used correctly, doesn't meet it isn't. What you "feelz" doesn't matter.

Re: Church Attendance

Any church that would assail a beard standard where the Bible has none is clearly comprised and in the cold and decaying grip of human tradition.
